Get a refund on Google play

You can get a refund on Google Play, but Google may give refunds for some Google play purchases, depending on the refund policies.

How to request a refund for a Google Play Purchase?

You can follow the following steps if,

  • Isn’t what you expected
  • Friend or family member accidentally used your payment method to buy
  • Doesn’t work

Then, you can request a refund for a Google Play Purchase by following the procedure mentioned below in steps.

For Android

  1. Open Google Play Store Application. Make sure you sign in with the subscription account.
  2. After that, click on the three horizontal lines.
  3. Now click on the Account, which is just above the Payment Method on the menu.

  4. You will see Preferences, Rewards, and Purchase history. Now click on the Purchase history.
  5. Under the order history, click Request a refund or Report a problem and choose the option that describes your situation.
  6. Now complete the form and note that you would like a refund.
  7. Finally, you will see a message which says, “Thank you for sharing your concerns.” And you will get an email with a refund decision.

For Computer/Web

  1. Go to the browser and hit the URL play.google.com/store/account
  2. After that, click on the Order history, which is beside the Rewards.

  3. Now find the order that you want to refund/return.
  4. Now select request a refund or Report a problem and choose the option that describes your situation.
  5. Complete the form and note that you would like a refund.

  6. Finally, you will see a message which says, “Thank you for sharing your concerns.” And you will get an email with a refund decision.

Report charges from someone you don’t know

[Note: Report unauthorized charges within 120 days of the transaction, if you see a suspicious fee from Google Play that you didn’t make and made by unknown]

Necessary: If Google finds that fraud occurred on an account, that person might not be able to pay with Google temporarily. DO NOT submit a report using the form below if your family and friends made the purchase.

How long refunds take

Refund from Google Play depends upon the different amounts, time, and how you paid during purchase. After that, it returned to the payment method used to make the original purchase.

If a refund is taking longer time then, check your refund status on pay.google.com account. If the status is “Refunded,” then you will see a credit on your form of payment. And the status is “Cancelled,”  then the order was never charged, and so you will not see a loan on your form of payment.

Get a refund on App Store

If you experience a problem with apps you purchase from the App Store, you can request a refund directly from Apple. You should have a good reason and valid refund for the request—it’s now not intended to be a way to get free trials or non-permanent use. But if you buy something accidentally or mistakenly, purchase the incorrect thing, or get the wrong item, or don’t get anything, then it’s how you get a refund.

When you try to refund your payment, you have to report and select a problem to claim your refund. The list of the problem is listed below.

  • The app doesn’t work as expected
  • I’d like to request a refund
  • I didn’t authorize this purchase
  • Didn’t receive or unable to find purchase within the application
  • App fails to install or won’t download

How to get a refund using your iPhone?

Apple doesn’t allow you to report a problem using App store apps because it hasn’t built any links to report an issue from there, so you have to do it using the web on your device, or you can go directly to the problem reporting via email receipt.

From Email Receipt

  1. Open the Mail app.
  2. Now search for mail “Your receipt from Apple,” if the message is not at the top.
  3. Open the mail and tap on the receipt you want to refund payment.
  4. After that, click on the Report a Problem next to the purchase you want to report.

  5. Now you will be redirected to Apple’s problem report page. After that, enter your Apple ID/Username and Password when prompted.
  6. Now you have to choose a problem, click on the Choose Problem, and tap a question from the menu.
  7. After that, follow the prompt and submit the problem.

  8. You will get a notification in your account after the approval of the refund within a week.

From the Web

  1. Open a web browser in your device.
  2. Go to Apple’s problem report page.
  3. Log in using your Apple ID/Username and Password on the page.
  4. Now select the tab from the navigation bar – All, Music, Movie, TV shows, Search icon.
  5. Now search a problem or directly go to the link here to get a refund subscription.
  6. After that, fill-up the form with Contact information, Apple ID.
  7. Now mention the Problem in the text field of “Tell us about your issue.”
  8. Finally, and submit and wait until you get a reply.
  9. When you receive a reply, follow the instruction.
  10. After the approval of the refund, you will get a notification.
